Of Drug Lords= Pablo Escobar
Welcome back to all the
fellow viewers of Big Time Data. Today, I’m going to be talking about the
History of the ruthless and cunning drug lord, Pablo Escobar. You all may be
wondering who this guy is, but I assure you he is not any ordinary drug lord.
Surely right of the bat, I
can tell that once many of you here this; you would be singing Snoop Dog
Everyday. Trust me, Pablo Escobar is a person you would not like to mess around
with and his actions are no better.

Who In The World Is He?
Pablo
Escobar was a big time Colombian drug lord, and he was one of the most powerful, wealthy and violent
scandals of history. He was born in 1949, a son of a teacher and a peasant. Pablo
Escobar was born in Medellin, Colombia and stayed with his elder brother,
Roberto and his parents. His brother made a statement that he was “ A good
brother, who was kind, friendly and intelligent to someone who would achieve
greatness.”

Turns
out his brother were right, but in the opposite manner. He claimed that Pablo
dreamed and driven to become the president of Colombia. Well, more of becoming
the president of drug lords than his dream.
The
Modern Day Robin Hood
( Quite the man aren't you?)
He
was essentially the Robin Hood of the modern era, and he surprisingly did it
willing fully. He did charity work for the poor, and stapled himself as a
public figure. Perhaps he wasn’t so bad after all, but this would later turn
into an act of corruption. Reason being,
he had support from the people if he did anything wrong. Well, isn’t that a
slick smart tactic?
Rise To Power
When Pablo Escobar was the
age of twenty he was doing things, which would involve him getting paid. Some
examples of these are stealing cars, and a habit of trading Cannabis.
Surprisingly he did not smoke cigarettes or drink, but had a habit of smoking a
plant called Cannabis. By then he knew that he was too far into the business
and there was no getting out.
In the early 1970’s, Pablo
began to trade cocaine and bought quality coca paste from Bolivia and Peru. He
then processes it into cocaine, and sells it throughout America. Pablo’s
reputation of his business began to grow after the illegal work he had done.
The drug business became a living to him, and gathered a strong workforce to
form the infamous Medellin Cartel.

The drug leader of the
cartel, Fabio Restrepo was killed and Pablo stood in power. It was said that
Pablo planned for his assassination in order to be head of the cartel.
Formation Of The Family and Securing
Power
Pablo was described to have
an interest with young girls, and when he was 26 years old, he fell in love
with a 15-year-old girl. That girl’s name was Victoria Henao Vellejo, and they
were married in 1976. The couple had two children, Juan Pablo and Manuela, they
would remain married until his death.
Pablo was a man who did as he
pleased with his actions. That meant he would kill anyone who opposed him,
which was quite often. Pablo was involved with many assassinations and
kidnappings over the years, which caused the people’s respectful fear of him.
Oddly enough, he was elected as a representative for the Colombian Liberal
Party. I wonder how his killings were not noticed?
Eventually Pablo controlled
almost 80% of the cocaine shipped to the U.S.
He was soon listed to be one of the ten richest people on Earth by
magazines. Though when he was on the run
by the Colombian government and the U.S he caused a considerable amount of
lives lost. Reason being, he bribed the people to kill them in reward of money,
plus his own benefit of being innocent.
Pablo On The Run
Pablo Escobar was charged
several times by the Colombian government, but he escaped every time. Though
this time it was tying up the loose ends for them. They gave him one last
warning to extradite himself, but of course he denied it.
By the time it happened he
had lost his support and all that was left was himself and a single gunman.
Pablo was no on the run, and there was no escaping. The unified effort by the
U.S and the Colombians task force tracked him down using state of the art
technology.
He was tracked by making
multiple calls through different phones to a journalist. Pablo’s main idea of
this was to gain fame, but the trick of using different phones was off. The
infiltration team recognized the pattern and hunted him down.
The assault team then
received the news and headed to Pablo’s location. The drug lord gave chase,
while the lone gunman held the team off, but was eventually killed. Pablo’s
chase was not enough and was killed for restraining.
Verdict
His reign of terror was
brought down and the people in Colombia were free, but the people whom he helped
mourned over their savior.
The people buried him, while
thousands mourned the public hero once known to them.
